How did you sort out the basses Lester? They are normally offset, but both boxes on your videos have them squared off 'melodeon-style'.
Other Student 1 conversions I've seen have left them offset.

I've a Student 1 sitting on a shelf as a pending project, awaiting surgery while the required parts are acquired.

On the first one (floral design) I filled the inside 4 holes and redrilled them in the melodeon manner so they are slightly offset to the top of the box, on the Art Deco one I remade the whole button section so it is melodeon shaped and in the 'correct' position.

Currently in my workshop.

And a larger Pokerwork PA with a curious bass layout, the buttons are paired as on a melodeon but play same bass/chord in both directions. Basses available are F, G, A, Bb, C, and D

presumably the buttons are ? bottom to  top in that order .? rather than the logical Bb, F,C,G.D,A  . Also the 'melodeon rather than stradella button layout is an odd way to have gone but must, presumably, have been logical to he who did it

Here's one for repair, if you're quick.

Relisted in case anybody's interested - Hohner accordion, though it's neither a pokerwork, nor small enough to subvert/convert to a button box...   ;)

That's a lovely looking thing, but surely bigger than a Pokerwork melodeon?

It is bigger, yes Edward, but so too was the one that started this thread...

I like this one

"Creeper pattern" was how Hohner themselves described that design (when applied to a diatonic) in Catalogue No. 700.
