"Randsfjordtreffen", a polka composed by Øystein Nicolaisen and played on a G-C box:

I enjoyed that, well played and a great sounding box.
Thanks for sharing.

I think I'm starting to get most of the notes in roughly the right order...... sometimes!

Her husband is also a seasoned melodeonist. Playing a Norwegian mazurka, on a A-D box, for a change:

Great videos, really nice sound and the boxes look as good as they sound!!
I'm wondering about the scroll work below the treble buttons is this decorative or does it help with the sound output?

Just about every Norwegian box player I've seen on YouTube gives me the impression that their music and two row melodeons were made for each other.

I'm wondering about the scroll work below the treble buttons is this decorative or does it help with the sound output?

I think that's to brighten up the inner row reeds, to compensate for their tendency to sound muffled compared with the outer row reeds which are out at the front.

I'm a melodeon player. What's your excuse?
