2017 National Folk Festival in Canberra
« on: April 10, 2017, 11:37:11 AM »

Its that time of year again when Oz folkies converge on Canberra for 'The Nash'.  Melnetters would be welcome at the English sessions in the session bar, beginning with one on Friday at 4pm. We'll be making a decent racket so we should be easy to spot!

For any visitors: the Session Bar is notorious for hosting sessions (of the playing, singing and drinking kind) almost non-stop throughout the festival, from the 10am Aussie tune sessions through to 4am 'anything goes' efforts.

I'll be presenting a 'Tunes of Sally Sloane' workshop on Monday arvo including a "Play along with Sally" experiment. I've modified some of the original John Meredith audio files into standard pitch and a handout will give you the dots to play from.

Hopefully Klappo will be there again too, and we'll meet up for a chin wag in the bar.

cheers, Ian
