Reeds and tuning in Beltuna Cajuns
« on: April 21, 2017, 03:29:31 PM »

I noticed yesterday that Theo had a Beltuna Cajun for sale that featured Artigiana reeds, and I recall a few people mentioning in previous threads that their Beltuna one-rows had the same.  Mine has Bincis, and so did all the other Beltuna Cajuns that I tried in the shop in Montreal.  I wonder if they switched over at some point? Or if different reeds get put in boxes going to different markets? I'd be curious to hear the difference in sound.

Also, all the Beltuna Cajuns in the shop in Montreal were tuned with a very light tremolo that was consistent across all the notes, that is to say that the tremolo did not increase as you went up the scale.  Are they all like this? I actually quite like this tuning in the context of a LMMH voiced box, as it gives a very "clean" sound.
