Milleret & Pignol Volume 2 available?
« on: April 22, 2017, 02:04:38 PM »

Hey, players!  Does anyone have a copy of M&P's Volume 2 Method book that they're wanting to part with?  I desperately want to get my hands on it, but the Mustradem site wants 23 Euros for shipping.  I tried e-mailing them to see if that was correct (it wasn't that expensive last time I ordered), but I haven't heard anything back.  Thanks!

It quotes €10.20 postage, when I click to add it to my basket.

Don't have one to part with, but perhaps try auvergnediffusion? (They have shipped to Canada in the past at pretty reasonable cost).

In this day and age, they should offer a digital version so avoiding shipping costs.

It's still 23.07 for me, Sir John - maybe because I'm in the US.
Thanks for the suggestion about Auvergne Diffusion, fc diato, but they want 23.23.

I wish there was a digital edition or a media mail option.  I know the books are not that big!

Thanks, TomBom.  I found it there, too, but it's actually more expensive there than paying the pricey shipping from France.

In this day and age, they should offer a digital version so avoiding shipping costs.

They wrote the books about 15 years back - then did their print run.   I suspect digitalising would be awkward and .. not increase income.

Do consider getting 2+3 together, if that is you plan. Postage will probably be the same. You might also consider Stéphane's teaching videos - on the mustradem site. I think he has posted all the 1st year now (10 per year).  You subscribe in compete years. Eu70 for the year.  English subtitles.  You'd want to be playing a G/C, ideally with a helper row, but most of it is on the main rows and he offers ways to 'fudge' otherwise.

Thanks, Chris.  I went ahead and ordered Volume 2, Volume 3, Volume 4, and the one about reading sheet music because they offer free shipping with purchases of over 100 Euros.  I had hoped to buy each new volume as a reward for finishing the previous, but now I'm all in.

I'm already a subscriber to the online teaching videos and love them, even though some are too hard for me right now.  My only complaint is that the associated forum is not being added to.  I sent a couple of questions in about modifications for a two row and never heard anything back.

How the sub-titles? I ask because that part was farmed out to me, and I am about to receive 'year 2'  ::)

Constructive criticism very welcome, here or by PM at your discretion

Chris, I haven't had any trouble at all with the sub-titles, so you must be doing a nice job.  I'll let you know if I see anything funny as I continue.  :)
