Le Trio Lagrange, Marceau, Millet
(1/1)
Bob Ellis:
Le Trio Lagrange, Marceau, Millet from the Morvan area of France are planning a tour in England the last week in February and the first week in March 2018. They already have a booking at Hebden Bridge on 3 March, where they will be teaching tune and dance workshops during the day and playing for a bal in the evening. I believe that discussions are also under way with the Newcastle French dance and music group for them to play at Newcastle on 2 March. However, they are also looking for other bookings.
Pierre Marceau (diatonic accordion) and Quentin Millet (bagpipes) played a very successful gig at Hebden Bridge last January as two thirds of Les Cailloux. The third member of that group, who cannot commit to the 2018 tour, has been replaced by Sébastien Lagrange (chromatic accordion), who is very well-known in French trad. circles and has made several CDs, including the excellent Le Bal with Christian Maes, Gael Rutkowski and Thierry Bruneau and Musique Artisinale with Gael Rutkowski. This new line-up of Lagrange, Marceau and Millet should be formidable.
If anyone here wants to book them for a gig next February/March please let me know and I will put you in touch with Pierre. Please broadcast this information to anyone you know who might be interested in booking them.
Nigel:
Newcastle French Group have booked them for Sunday 4 March. They'll be doing workshops and a Bal similar to Hebden Bridge. (Bob - I'll contact you soon about this and other things happening up here).
I think that they would like to do a gig on the Friday 2 March somewhere between Bournemouth and Yorkshire. Any takers- contact Bob.
Nigel:

Bob Ellis:
I've just received another e-mail from Pierre Marceau about their tour in England next spring. They seem to have filled most dates, but are looking for something on Thursday 1 March, Monday 5 March and Tuesday 6 March. If you are interested, let me know a.s.a.p. because their programme is filling up quickly. As you will have seen from previous posts, they are playing at Hebden Bridge on 3 March and Newcastle on 4 March.
