I am glad the forum suggested this tune, I am enjoying working on it. I think it will fit in nicely with other tunes I'm working on.
It's a rewarding tune, makes good use of the diatonic range.

COMMENTING ON CLIVE'S ARRANGEMENT:

Ah.... so full of feeling!  For me, conveying acceptance of  the inevitable sadnesses that are part of every life.  Real depth of music, beyond just a tune.  Dave Shepherd's notes reimagined for the voice of our special instrument, with its breathing human quality. With new unexpected chords giving a different colour to a familar melody. Interesting that this breathing quality  is enhanced (for me) by the same-both-way chords, which ordinary melodeons don't have.   Gratitude again, Clive: showing us again how real music comes from the heart.

Thanks Jack - took me ages to get to that point, and it probably has the same practice time again before I could play it out proficiently - there's about 30 mins of failed attempts on the cutting room floor :-)

Here is my very late submission on this tune :)

It took me a while to learn it, and many takes to play it straight... But it was worth, it's a lovely tune.
