Bellows jig

I've made a jig to hold bellows open when working on them. But for concertina bellows I haven't come up with a good way to hold each end. The two end plates of my jig fit onto a 12mm dowel, with the bellows held between the plates. I did drill some holes in the plates with the intention of screwing the bellows ends using the concertina end screws...but this doesn't work very well and risks damaging the concertina threaded holes. Anyone got a solution on how to hold the ends? I've thought of, e.g. Clips, but these would have to grip the belllows ends, which would be no good when binding the end section.

No jig required, just get a bit of timber that's a tight fit in the extended bellows, job done.

Roger, how about a picture of your bellows jig in action? I've tried several ideas, with only limited satisfaction.

After some thought I came up with this... which is a sort of hybrid of Pete Dunks plus a vid I watched.

It sort of works, but really I need it to support the bellows on all six sides - so I need to make a couple of Toblerone shaped pieces to do this...
