Aluminium key levers
« on: June 12, 2017, 04:30:18 PM »

Hi, does anyone have an opinion on how thick aluminium key levers need to be, so that they're strong enough to be rigid, but also flexible enough to bend and adjust?  My ideal width is 4mm, and I was thinking of a 2mm thickness?  The overall length of the lever is only a few centimetres, from key to pad

A lot is going to depend on the alloy. Are you using a brass heel/pivot? You will want enough metal there when you drill your mounting holes as these are often a weak point.

Thanks Kimric, no there's no pivot points.  I'll look in to the different alloys, I need something thats strong, but able to be bent for adjustments...
