I've played on the steps leading down to the back yard before, and it's very nice, but it feels half-way between performance and practice - you can't play tunes you don't know yet, but at the same time, there isn't any obvious audience.
Playing around a campfire (harmonica in this case) with other musicians is quite another matter however... all very throughleaves.


"I can see you'll be busking in Hexham market square next...  ;)"
He'd have to fit in between the other two melodeon players who are already there!
Ahh, but he doesn't have a top hat like mine...

Ahh to you too! Was that you outside Robbs (last year I think) with the sparkling, new-looking, Pokerwork? If so, you looked far too afluent for busking!

The garden has been used, the local town square and my favourite is under river bridges where there is often space under at least one arch, great echoes and puzzled audience on the bridge itself.

Yes, although not all that new, just shiney Chinese. I'm fairly sure my top hat gets me more money than I got before, but probably not as much as it cost in the first place - still though, now I have a collapsable top hat.
