How things have changed
« on: July 07, 2017, 12:21:38 PM »

This morning I came across a 'photo of me playing the Pokerwork at Sidmouth in 1976.
By seeing the great sag in the bellows I realised that the box was clapped out. ( I'd had it from new)
In those days there were no fettlers to speak of except Bruno Allodi in north london and he didn't think much of melodions. I was in Dorset . I didn't realise  at the time that it was shot and thought it was my playing, encountering comments like "sludge box!" It was not meant seriously but it hurt non the less. I think I must have been very  slow to realise what was happening. Nowadays thankfully things are different and we have very many fine fettlers.
Did anybody else have a similar experience?

Hi Mary, that's probably because I didn't post one. My tech knowledge doesn't extend that far.  :'(
