Thruppeny the other buttons wouldn't be redundant but accidentals for the other octave - so you effectively have a four button half row split between half row position and standard accidental position.

Ellison the Notos and CalirrhoƩ that Squeezy refers to are flat keyboard, but not listed by UK dealers.

A shame they're not more popular as a trip overseas to try one/some would be rather OTT while buying without trying's a potentially costly gamble (and could be hard to resell as they're not popular :-( )

Thanks for all your thoughts :-)

What about a 1914 with 12 basses then?

I can do you a Castagnari Handry  [ Fazzy]  with 12 bases,   Same treble voice changes as a 1914

Phil - 'a split half row' is a good description, hadn't thought of it like that!
The only accidental I do miss is a low Fnat.
There are ways round it such as cheat and ignore it by glossing over the phrase, or if appropriate  push the phrase up an octave or possibly change the key from G to D. Maybe even, as a friend suggested, change one of the two D's  to it but then it's getting into a highly personalised keyboard layout.
That's the only accidental I miss on a 2 row...... and there are tons of other tunes to learn instead of one needing it!
cheers

I think I'm starting to get most of the notes in roughly the right order...... sometimes!

Surely the Fazzy has repeat buttons not independent.

My ideal box would have a 21+2 flat keyboard. Is there one?

12 basses would be nice too.

Martin
something like this ? you can always add 2 more bass if you wish  ;)

Rees, I think you'll find the Fazzy is a 12 bass version of the 2 row 8 bass Hascy.

Yes, that's right. I've only ever played one and it was slightly mellower than the 8 bass Hascy, though still a powerful sound.

Oops, I'm mixing up Fazzy with Alain 12! Getting old and making nearly as many mistakes as Sandro Castagnari  >:E
Sorry for the confusion.
