cajun button layout?

Hi guys is the one row treble button layout in C on the forum the standard one row melodeon layout? and is the cajun one row melodeon tuned the same?

E/G     G/B       C/D       E/F        G/A      C/B      E/D       G/F        C/A      E/B

Yes.
G as first button pull enables to play a full G7 chord.
Some melodeons have F on pull.

And the Irish (and Quebecois?) would have an A on pull.

Yes, my Quebec box has an A (well a B as it's a D box).

button 7   C/C ?

That's a B flat accordion. Button 7 is D/C.
Cajun and Zydeco accordions have exactly the same layout of notes although the tuning of the reeds can be slightly different.

This may be the exception that confirms the rule, usually they have the G on the pull (assuming a box in C).  But I think you're better off with the A.

Yes, there's a similar issue with tremolo harmonicas, depending on if you want to play chords or melody at the bottom of the range. It's why the German style in them have gone out of favour with Irish players, who prefer the melodic oriental layout of the Tombo and Suzuki, etc., ones.
