Having added a few countermelodies to existing tunes, as well as writing ones from scratch which have parts which work in combination it occurred to me to have a dedicated thread for them, so that others will feel free to add tunes from their own collection.
Partly in an attempt to have tunes which have variations to make them longer, or to develop, I found that these extensions often (with a bit of tweaking) work also as countermelodies. If I value them, maybe others also will.
So:
If you know of a tune where a countermelody works well with the tune, or an extension of the tune also works in combination with the tune, please upload a copy here.
Thanks

Here are some to get us started. These ones are already on the other thread, but it makes sense to have them in the right place too.

Excuse my complete ignorance of these - are these two tunes that work together, or are they two separate suggestions of tunes that each have sections that work over each other?
Is there anyone that can supply dots for these? Just in an attempt to make this thread a one stop shop.

They happily sit over each other. See my blog, linked below, for the ABC.

The jig 'Moon and Seven Stars' can be played in its normal 6/8 time-signature while a march version of the same tune in 4/4 is played simultaneously. The jig goes through twice (with repeats) for each single time through the march.

Finally, the whole lot can be overlain by Beethoven's 'Ode to Joy' theme from the 9th Symphony.

Tipperary and Pack up your Troubles can be played together too.

My other melodeon's a fiddle, but one of my Hohners has six strings! I also play a very red Hawkins Bazaar in C and a generic Klingenthaler spoon bass in F.!! My other pets (played) are gobirons - Hohner Marine Band in C, Hohner Tremolo in D and a Chinese Thingy Tremolo in G.

I have been working on learning Où T'en Vas-Tu, from his recordings with Gilles Chabenat. Still working on the sheet music.

The two parts of Traveller's Joy can be played over each other. (And there's even a nice descant to add, written by Sophy Ball.)

My son plays in a group run by Sophie so I'll get him to ask her for permission to upload the descant part (when we're back from France).

Morpeth Lasses is a good fit with the bass line of Stevie Wonder's Superstition.

"Rob [Harbron] wrote The Road To Poynton in 1997 as an attempt to write a tune whose A and B parts can be played over each other." according to the sleeve notes on Leveret's In The Round. More details here

The  A and B parts of theme Vannetaise sit comfortably over each other. This is fortunate because it is common for some, but not all, musicians in our morris band to forget to repeat the parts in the two longer figures, when playing Twiglet.
