Judging from some of the RH chords he is making, e.g. fifths and sixths three buttons apart, I would say it is not a CBA but a three-row melodeon, probably in GCF.

Seems to be a lot of chromatic playing...v nice...is it possible on a 3 row 4th apart box?

Yes - quite feasible, given a friendly key. This one seems to centre around D minor/F major which is OK on a GCF box. If you watch carefully you can see him reach for some of the chin-end accidentals for a bit of extra chromaticism. You don't get those on a CBA.

Yes definitely GCF, a common style in France which I prefer to the Norbert/Pignol stuff. Check out Daniel Denechau Jazz Musette.

Diatonic, I'd say - a bit clearer in this clip

The symmetrical button pattern would be unusual for a CBA, three buttons in a slant at the ends of the columns would be more normal.

Excellent Quebecois playing. The right hand chording on the waltz reminds me of Norteno or Tex-Mex playing -- also famously on three-row diatos. It is fascinating and has escaped me, so far (I have an F-Bb-Eb).

I think there is another alternative to the Pignol-Milleret approach for tradFrench -- my guiding lights are Jean Blanchard and Frederic Paris.
