Hohner Corona ll 2 row 8 bass. Really?

Maybe the guy who applies the transfers was off sick that day....

I don't get it.

Are the transfers the wrong way round?

No, the Corona should be a three row, 12 bass box (typically A/D/G or G/C/F)
So the transfers are on the wrong box...

My bad, I thought it was just upside down, which it is isn't' it?
But I see the mistake now thanks Anahata, I'm usually wrong with my post, but I'm getting over it.
Please forgive my ignorance.

Looks the usual way up to me. Just the wrong box. Maybe it will be fully featured when it grows up.

Is it an Erica?

Only it's got Corona II transfers on both ends, and big black feet like a Corso...  ???

And (having now found the other auction photos) I see it has a seperate, screwed-on, keyboard cover. So there's been a bit of "hot-rodding" gone on with it...

I started to get an uneasy feeling about this one, so I checked the seller's 98.5% feedback and now I'm even more uneasy about it - her last feedback as a seller is: "SCAMMER never got item after month, never responded, she stole pics from google."

So in case anybody's tempted, I'd recommend them to be very, very wary. In fact I wouldn't touch it with the proverbial bargepole...  :o

The rest of the seller's feedback history seems good, so I wonder if a scammer has hacked into the seller's original account and stolen the account ID to mount fraudulent auctions. Whatever the truth, I echo Triskel's bargepole assessment.

A photo showing the treble keyboard.

In hindsight, Corso/Corona size rather than Erica size. Sorry, Greg. It was the proximity of the inner row of buttons to the grill that made me think Erica.

I can see how a Corona treble end could have been modified, using perhaps a Corso keyboard cut back to make it more narrow and removing the outer set of buttons, but I've never seen a Corona name on an 8 button left hand end before, and that bit at least looks like genuine factory to me.

So a bitsa almost certainly, Edward, but imo someone seems to have gone to an inordinate amount of trouble....

Edited to add:
No recommendation of this instrument or seller was meant or implied in earlier posts; just curiosity as to the unusual features of the offering

In hindsight, Corso/Corona size rather than Erica size. ... It was the proximity of the inner row of buttons to the grill that made me think Erica.

The original photo you posted gave me the impression it was probably that size Malcolm - but then I counted the slots in the grille:

A Corso/Corona grille has 22 slots, but this one has only 20 of them - so it is Erica size after all...

But somebody has definitely been tinkering with it, much to our confusion!

In fact both ends have pukka Hohner "Corona" transfers on them.

I'm pretty sure that, on ebay, the displayed characters in a bidder's name are random and fully anonymised nowadays. Probably different from auction to auction, too. I wouldn't go reading too much into it.

Someone fancies it, at any rate.
