Pokerwork Bass button repair
« on: August 29, 2017, 11:45:59 AM »

I was playing out recently and the B/E bass button on my pokerwork popped out into my hand. Is this likely to be a broken spring? If so, is it a reasonable DIY fix or would it better to get it to the expert?

Might not be a broken spring Greg. If the button just popped into your hand it may have just unscrewed itself or become detached from its lever, and that's very simple to rectify.

Unlikely to be a broken spring.  Three possibilities come to mind:
1 Is it just the button that popped out if so it is a push fit onto the end of the rod that you should see where the button should be.  It's loose enough to come off so will need a few drops of superglue to hold it.

2 If the rod is attached to the button then the small nail that acts as a hinge pin needs to be replaced.

3 if the rod is broken you will need a new rod.
