Oh no, not you too Anahata? I thought that you would be above this sort of nonsense. Perhaps Theo or Clive will step in to restore some semblance of order?

It may be the case that Big Brother is watching them too Winston  :o

Correct in your highlighting to Bold Sir John what I had tried to explain, if you click on the 1***Q of the winning bidder it brings up (I think) a 30 day past bidding history - quite how folk can get away with multiple accounts I'm not sure, unless it benefits e**y in some monetary way. It seems that despite a winning bid being from a buyer without prior any dubious past that, unlike a real auction, a seller can simply opt to not complete the sale if the price doesn't suit, in which case they can keep going until they get what they want in a later sale.

BTW hereabouts Winston does not bring the great wartime leader nor the star of the Goon Show 1984 to mind, it reminds us of Winston the Singing Farmer - so good that poor melodeon, banjo or misfiring combine harvester accompaniment improves the performance...........

Not that I'm actually counting, you understand, but this must be one of the most traded melodeons ever?

Mind you, it never seems to move out of London!

And here is the same box  being sold at the same time by a different seller.  Something dodgy going on here. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/232905110386

just in passing, does anyone know what the writing under the "L'organola" says? I've looked at it several times over the months in which I've noticed it for sale, but cannot decipher it. Maybe my mild dyslexia is worsening?

Thank you Sir John. I'd never really thought of going beyond the main picture, silly me!

I get the impression he needs to be realistic about his reserve prices. Otherwise, might be alright???

Or is it a hijacked account?

My suspicion is they're using multiple accounts to create activity or drive prices up. You can see in their sold listings that the same instrument was successfully "sold" a few times.

Do you have a Hohner from 1934-1945 with a serial number on?
Send me a private message or comment on the German Accordion Problem spreadsheet to improve the statistics of the project and get an estimate of the production date of the box if it is not known.
