« on: October 03, 2017, 08:06:38 AM »

On Pete Grassby's CD "Malvern Hills" he plays a set of La Roulante - Granny's Birthday - Bear Dance ... Google has let me down so can anyone here point me at the dots for Granny's Birthday?

Just to note that there is also a "Grandmother's Birthday" about.

It's a mazurka by Anne-Marie Summers (bagpipe player)

I have that album on cassette (!) somewhere - if I can find it, I'll give it a listen and see if it rings any bells.

Among others, Saltarelle Pastourelle II D/G; Hohner 4-stop 1-rows in C & G; assorted Hohners; 3-voice German (?) G/C of uncertain parentage; lovely little Hlavacek 1-row Heligonka; B♭/E♭ Koch. Newly acquired G/C Hohner Viktoria. Also Fender Jazz bass, Telecaster, Stratocaster, Epiphone Sheraton, Charvel-Jackson 00-style acoustic guitar, Danelectro 12-string and other stuff..........

Hello All,
I know this question was put out there a few years ago but I have the same question... Has anyone since come across the dots or written them out for both La Roulante but more importantly Granny's Birthday since then?
Thankyou,
Archie.

La Roulante was Tune of the Month in April 2011 so lots of versions there if you look it up. Also worth a look for the reason why it is often called the LNB Polka.
