I've had this tune running around in my head for days now. I must have heard it at a session somewhere or else it's a track on one of my numerous CDs that I haven't been able to track (ha ha!) down.

I've written out the dots for the A-music in ABC as far as I can remember them (not sure about the last 3 bars), but I haven't much recall of the B-music at the moment so I've left it out. I've got a feeling I've heard it played by a fiddle and it may be a Cajun-ey, Old Timey sort of tune.

I would like to know the name of the tune, whether I've got it right, and what the B-music is. Can anyone help please?

looks like it could be this one.

[edit:] and here and here are some other versions which also give a name (Louis's Waltz).
btw I found these using the melody search engine at folktunefinder.com although curiously it found them more easily by omitting the pick-up phrase (AG) from the search string.

Steve, add this to your favourites Tunepal. Unfortunately the server is down at the moment but when it's working you can record your own fragment of the tune (specifying the key you are playing in) and the search engine does the rest including searching for the same pattern of notes in all keys!
