one row 3 stop repaired a big thank you to Rees Wesson
« on: October 18, 2017, 08:07:39 PM »

A massive thank you to Rees Wesson who very kindly took my precious one row three stop melodeon .....(precious because my penniless daughter bought it for me on the moment that we live,  from a junk shop) and Rees is so very very busy and helped me out......a big thank you....I have played it tonight and although I am not a one row player I can manage it fairly well and get a fair few tunes from it.... It is responsive and light on the touch .... thanks Rees.....

It comes pre-programmed with a selection of Oscar Woods' tunes. :)

And a Woodbine's packet under the bass keys?

I may be wrong but I seem to recall that Oscar's D box (which ended up in the Ruth Askew collection) had a Woodbine packet under the bass levers but the C box (possibly now with Jen Newson) had a Park Drive packet. Then again, memories are not what they used to be.

That could figure, it's the D one Ruth had in my photo.
