Do you mean Barham Down?  There's a version on Albireo's new CD "Binary":

It is on Spotify, and you can also listen to tracks in full on Bandcamp. However if you like it I would urge you please to buy it, which you can do as a download or a CD (if you buy a CD you get a download as well).  It's a double CD with 23 tracks in total, so excellent value for money at only £12.00! Even better value is as a package with our first album Northern Cross for only £20.00.

We're not in this to get rich, but Spotify typically pays around half a US cent when a track is played (our last sale was $0.00724815). After Paypal and currency conversion charges that doesn't go a long way to pay off the costs of making the album.  Support your local musicians :)

Is that your band, Howard? I've just been listening to it and playing along. Fantastic energy. I'll definitely buy it if it's a melnet player.

Glad you like it. Yes, that's my band. Besides melodeon (D/G, C/F and G/C) I'm also playing anglo concertinas, hammered dulcimer and recorders.

If any of you are in the Oxford area, we're playing at Oxfolk on 9 December

And after that blatant plug, and getting back to the original topic, isn't Barham Down a great tune? It was once of a large batch of tunes we were given for a workshop somewhere, I think by Andrew Swaine, and as soon as we played it we knew it would be a keeper.

Elsey's Waltz by Archie Dagg and Maiden Lane from the 1651 Playford make this a feast of a collection, now on my Christmas wish list!

It’s a great tune and CD, love it.  Music to lift the soul on a damp Mendip morning !
Thanks Howard, congratulations to you and your band for making such a fantastic sound.
CD bought and downloads playing :)
