The number of participants is mounting up, and as such I'm thinking of setting up a session in a local pub on the Friday night (23rd) I know who are coming on the day of course but not when they are travelling, is there any interest in a session for early arrivals? I will ask individually when I send out the tunes but it would be useful to know if any melnetters are interested. Cheers, Peter

Oh! yes please

I would hope to pop over for the evening - not too far from Shrews.
Looking forward to the day !

Workshop advance materials have been sent out today so check your email if you are registered.

A couple of people have replied that they have been sent some of the wrong material.
Sorry for this, there's a gremlin in the system somewhere.
Anyway, check your stuff and get back to me if you think there's a problem.
Cheers

Is anyone coming to Borderbox from the Oxford area? We are piggy-backing an instrument up from Devon to Suffolk and this could be one leg of the journey (Oxfordshire to Oswestry) if anyone's able to help.

I can probably help with this as  I will be passing by Oxford on my way from Leafy Bucks

Well we are nearly there, last minute admin stuff, shopping for teas coffee etc, heating must be on, car park signs etc etc, so far looks like it will be a really good day of workshops, if you can't get to the workshops but want to come to the concert which starts at 8pm please just turn up, drop £8 in the kitty and take a seat for what I'm sure will be a wonderful concert given the tutors and Lisa and Shropshire Heroes.

You and Lester can continue your intellectual debate about the acoustic quality of various woods. Sadly I shall not be there to add my unique input.  Have a great squeezy weekend all.

"A new business idea"

Yes, certainly! But I could only afford the 5 minutes, if that's OK?

Mr Bailey! Unless you're speaking in behalf of Acorn Instruments/Antiques/Arguments, I shouldn't have thought that you're entitled to discriminate against us poor folk in this matter?

What a thoroughly enjoyable event in a lovely location!!
Thanks to Rees and Peter for organising it, and to all the tutors for their inspiration (again)  :||:
It was nice to see many familiar faces and lots of new ones.

Same again next year, chaps?  8)
