I'm writing parts for our brass section, and would like the melody plus the alto sax, tenor sax, and trumpet parts all on one page. I write the parts as 4 bar lines, so a 32 bar jig will have 4 lines. When I do this for a standard 32 bar jig the last 4 bars go onto a second page. How can I reduce the size of the score font to stop that happening?

ABC command for size is


%% scale 0.8

You can try different values until the sheet prints on a single page.

There is an abcplus manual, that I find very helpful: https://sourceforge.net/projects/abcplus/files/

In chapter 4 there is a section titled 'saving space' where it says:

"Once the page layout and the margins have been set, parameters that can reduce the space are:

* first of all the powerful directive %%pagescale <factor>. By default, the score is produced with a scaling factor of 1. A greater value will enlarge the score, a smaller value will reduce its size.

* reduce the space between staves with %%staffstep and %%sysstaffsep, and use directives for setting the vertical space of title, subtilte, lyrics, etc.

Thanks TomBom and Sebastian, the scale command has solved that problem.
My other problem is with three of the key signatures are being repeated at the start of the fifth line, where there is no music, but not the melody line isn't. How do I stop the three being shown? The abc is shown below -

My other problem

I think the run off is caused by the final note in 'Melody' being only length 3; "Em"D3| and the final notes in the other sections of music being eg G6.

Try changing:
