I've done a bit more digging. The tune had its own thread under 'Tunes' in August 2011. Steve Freereader provided the abc in the key of G. You transposed it to the key of D for us Anahata. So thank you both. I'd forgotten as I'd stopped referring to the dots quite a while ago.

Here it is again (in D)

Here are a couple of tunes I've been practising a lot lately :

La Délicate (Stéphane Delicq): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrCNMU7j2y8
Тёмная ночь, Dark is the Night (Nikita Bogoslovski): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMCRuOuHizs

Both are played on my Beltuna Samuel LMM.

Very nice playing Pierre.  What is the tuning of your instrument?

Both tunes played beautifully!  I know La Délicate but the other one is new to me.  Is it Russian?

Thanks Maggie. Yes, it's an old Soviet tune I discovered on an excellent Youtube channel, "Accordions South West". Here's another version, beautifully sung and accompanied on a

Since New Years Day in Oz gives me a head start on most of you it looks like I'll be the first to post a new tune. But first let me tell you how it came about. My little grandson aged 18 months was randomly pushing the bass-side buttons on my box (as they do while you're trying to keep them entertained) when I realised he was playing the chord sequence to a familiar pop song.

So now ladies and gentlemen I offer for your enjoyment a waltz I've tentatively called The Eagles Waltz.

I like this very much. I've tried it several times over the years but not thought of trying it as a waltz. Good stuff.

Thanks! After posting that one it occurred to me that traditional players in the past often used their popular songs as dance tunes, so maybe one day I'll try playing Hotel California for a waltz dance and watch the dancers' faces for their reaction. Another example I can think of offhand is Mull of Kintyre, but there must be lots of others. Delilah? Ghost Riders In The Sky?

A lot of newness here for me. I've recorded Ganivelle by F Paris, and J'ai un nouveau chapeau by Sylvain Piron.

For the first time I am singing on a video, so that's new.

And for the first time I am recording with my daughter, Brigid, which is new and amazing.

'and then this came to mind which I played with friends 'Puca Og' in Spain recently. A gentle version on a Hohner four stop G, and the 'in concert' version. (The latter swaps octaves in places to accommodate a 'standard tuned' D/G box).

OK, thought I'd better wake up again!

Here's Brafferton Village, a lovely tune from Karthryn Tickell.
I first heard it played by Rees of this parish on his website and really liked it.
Played on my DG Castagnari Jilly.
cheers

Here's my attempts at Nick Barber's "Skirmish" and Will Ward's "Will's Way" with the latter in Gmix rather than the normal Dmix to add a bit of contrast/lift.  Both learned from Jim Sawyer.  N
