Phoenix Musical Instrument Museum Accordion Display Photos
« on: February 05, 2018, 05:40:45 AM »

Some guy (not me) posted his photos of the accordion/free reed display at the Phoenic Music Museum and it's really cool!

That's funny, it's even opening here in Egypt, on Chrome.

Very nice collection, though I was somewhat surprised to see a fairly modern Cairdin in a museum   :-\

Can't recall ever seeing a white Erica before.

Some really fascinating examples, liked the one with the horn and the one with 10 paddle bases that would take some finger control.

An impressive line-up inc pokerwork(s) and lilliput.
I wonder if I can justify a trip to phoenix?

I bet they won't allow you to play them though!

This reminds me of when I stumbled into the Roy Acuff museum in Opryland, Nashville in the 70's. The museum held an amazing collection of fretted stringed instruments from all over the world. I wonder if it still exists. Charlie

My other melodeon's a fiddle, but one of my Hohners has six strings! I also play a very red Hawkins Bazaar in C and a generic Klingenthaler spoon bass in F.!! My other pets (played) are gobirons - Hohner Marine Band in C, Hohner Tremolo in D and a Chinese Thingy Tremolo in G.

Nice collection.
It was funny looking through the collection and thinking "I have one of those" about every other accordion.

As I still couldn't open the link tonight and see what you're all talking about, I've just been checking up on this - and it seems Imgur has long been blocked by o2 (and therefore by Tesco mobile), my ISP. :o
