Thank you for the advert!

Peter's site doesn't link through to it yet, but there is a preview track from the album available on soundcloud

https://soundcloud.com/user-444337706/the-cuckoo-medley

I'm off on tour with him for the whole of March - if you're interested in coming along - the dates are here

I got quite excited when I saw this this morning. Hexham? Not too far, and at £15, I'm sure I could manage that, for what will be a wonderful concert. Then reality kicked in; I'm not home till the 20th...........b****r!

You forgot to include the West Devon and East Cornwall gigs. When are they, please?

Can't believe you're coming to my home town of Hexham. Be great to see you and see you play - as I'm not watching this site so much I haven't seen this coming, so I really hope there are tickets left.

I don't think it's sold out Pete ... I love Hexham - it's been ages since I've been there.

I'm just listening to the CD now, having been daft enough to get on a train up to that London for last night's Knight & Spiers gig at C# House.  Unsurprisingly this is highly recommended listening - if you can't get to a gig at least get your hands on a copy of the CD.  If you can make one of the tour dates then you won't be disappointed.

As a box player you may have a similar experience to me - spending much of the evening staring at John's left hand wondering just what he is doing with the basses before deciding to give up, sell all your melodeons and buy a triangle or similar. Happily this feeling generally evaporates overnight.

Indeed it is. I missed that one. Glad I asked. Thanks.

That's sorted. See you on the night. Snow and Spiers in the same year. I'd better buy a lottery ticket.

Just a prompt to anyone considering getting to one of these gigs, they were top form last night in Hexham. I'd expected to see a couple of familiar faces in the audience and even had a spare ticket to give away at short notice...
Really fine playing and entertaining too. A great musician who happens to play the melodeon. And of course the fiddle playing was very fine too.

It certainly is fabulous. It's easily available from Peter Knight's website, as was noted by the OP.

The concert in Bishops Castle was excellent - with the added benefit of being acoustic, in a small venue. Struggling through the snow was well worth-while !
What I particularly admire is the skill in rebreathing life into, and getting the most out of tunes. I for one am listening to Paddy Carey, for example, with new ears. The only trouble is that when I hear such great musicianship I feel depressed about my lack of skill and dedication to improving my own, very limited ability. But then I feel inspired...

I was one of a large and very appreciative audience in Nettlebed on Monday.

A sublime and inspiring evening. Their treatment of the tunes reminds me of early twentieth cent composers re Vaughan Williams, Butterworth - plenty of languorous fantasias and rhapsodies with the odd lively jig to jolt you and remind you that you're in a folk club :).

I picked up the CD and Squeezy's tune book - both excellent!
