What's the 'edit' icon for?
« on: August 14, 2009, 06:19:20 PM »

I tried to fix a typo in one of my replies. By accident I clicked on the edit icon (paper with pencil) at the right hand side inside the message instead of the identical one on top saying 'Modify'. All that happened was a large banner appearing at the top of the page saying 'Loading...'. After waiting for 15 minutes I'm getting curious. How many more days should I wait?

They both work for me, but the edit button only allows you to edit the text, 'modify' allows you to change format, add/remove attachments etc.

Oh, thanks.. no need to be curious anymore.  ;) It doesn't work on any of my computers, but I guess I don't need it anyway.

I does not work for me either, Firefox or IE7/8

It does work for me on another SMF forum, although that is on release 2.0RC1 (whereas this is 1.1.10).

i get the same as simon. Perhaps it's an administrator privilege?

According to the way the privileges are set up every member should be able to modify their own posts, but not other peoples.
