Camillus Hiney with The Fureys
« on: March 13, 2018, 12:10:53 PM »

Saw The Fureys at Colston Hall Bristol last night.  They have a terrific box player - Callimus Hiney - who did some lovely fills and then performed some blazingly fast Irish pieces at various points in the show. He plays an elderly Hohner and a Mengascini.  I had a nice chat with him in the interval - very approachable guy.   The Fureys are well into a very long tour so you should be able to catch them if their stuff tickles your fancy.   http://www.thefureys.com/concerts

That looks like a punishing schedule for old blokes.
