  • When will this MADness stop?

Stumbled into this, by Paul Young and I found it really excellent in development of a tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7DYijyLVwk

It is also mentioned in http://forum.melodeon.net/index.php?topic=21792.20 by Greg Smith

Thanks Paul!

Thanks Stephen. I keep meaning to post a new improved version of this video, or something better along the same lines. Watching it back there's just a few things that jump out at me I should have done differently.

Including, but not limited to:
1. The second time round with "dynamics" doesn't actually sound that different from the first time. I used too much compression on the sound recording so it all got squeezed out to a similar volume.
2. Would have been better to do right hand note lengths before dynamics.
3. When I bring in the left hand it's already pretty much the long bass and short chord that I do habitually. Should have made it all short or all long first time to show more of a difference the next time round with "left hand note lengths".

Plus the whole thing could just have been a bit tidier and more planned out. But anyway, I hope you find it useful as it is for now.  ;D

"Ditto" to what Tone Dumb Greg suggests (said the newbie trying to move past simply pressing the correct buttons with tunes)!

Ooh, popular demand is mounting. I might actually get round to it then. :D
