Repairing/restoring Vintage 48 bass Weltmeister accordion

Good morning all. 
New to this very helpful site so just will start with a thank you for the hints and remedies found so far.  I did play the accordion many years ago and recently acquired this wonderful instrument but my hands need retraining!
Would just like to mention OT that here in Sheffield we have glorious sunshine! something we've not seen for too long.  What a long cold dark Winter it has been :-\
