Is it possible to  have b/C TUNING

I have been on two of the courses where a guy made a semitone box with a more suitable keyboard layout than the normal 10/9/6, can't remember what but something like 12/11.

You have to ask Emmanuel for a definitive answer, but after the first Halsway course where there were two semitone boxes with flat keyboards he swore he would do no more.  Problem is the time is pretty tight on the Halsway course and it’s difficult to fit in a non-standard box. You would have to ask him for a definitive answer.

Email me - rachel@halswaymanor.org.uk - and I'll forward it to Emmanuel. Like Theo says, he tries to be accommodating but time is limited.

I'd love to do this but I've just realised I have a gig in Cheltenham on the Saturday evening.  I hear these courses are pretty intensive which probably rules out leaving early that day.  Like the other enquirer I'd also like to know whether a flat keyboard is possible, although mine would be D/G.

Hello Howard, I've worked with Emmanuel on the last 7 courses. They are a lot less frenetic than they used to be. We have streamlined many of the processes, so finding a couple of hours for you to make your gig should be possible as long as we know in good time.

Thanks but I've now realised my gig includes playing for a workshop on the Sunday as well.  Another time, perhaps.

I’m heading down to Halsway on Sunday for the course starting on Monday.  Visitors are welcome, so if you are in the area do call in, though it would be a good idea to let s know in advance.

I’ll have some spare time for the first couple of days, so please let me know if you are SW based and need some tuning or other box work.  If you fancy a play on something I have for sale I can bring it along, but you will need to let me know before the end of Saturday, tomorrow.
