I'm a Yorkie!
My other melodeon's a fiddle, but one of my Hohners has six strings! I also play a very red Hawkins Bazaar in C and a generic Klingenthaler spoon bass in F.!! My other pets (played) are gobirons - Hohner Marine Band in C, Hohner Tremolo in D and a Chinese Thingy Tremolo in G.

I hope we will also be back in the George again. I enjoyed that last year, and thought it worked very well. We managed to fit in so many different activities, Bb/Eb, and the Melnet meet.

Also the Euro sessions. The George was a welcome addition.

Those who attended our Euro-sessions in the George Hotel during Folk Week 2017 (and perhaps some who didn't) will no doubt be pleased to know that we have booked the same venue for 2018 and that the staff at the George are looking forward to welcoming us back again. The timing will once again be 15:00 - 17:00 every afternoon, although we may have to delay the start on Sunday until the diners have finished their Sunday lunch.

I will be hosting a Delilah workshop on the sands by the far end of the pier at high tide.  Don't forget the wetsuit and the bin bag for the melodeon.

Still squeezing after all these years.
Mostly on hohners , with a couple of Dinos and a smattering of anglos - and now a Jeffries duet

Presumably the bin bag is for melodeon disposal afterwards ?
Am wondering if it's too early to start looking for accommodation for next years Whitby Folk Week - I could start learning Delilah now in anticipation (and find a voice trainer ::))

An American friend who plays melodeon, concertina and hurdy-gurdy is over here in England and would like to attend Whitby FolkWeek, but can't find any accommodation. If anyone knows of a room in a house or something similar that he might be able to rent, please let me know, so I can pass the information on to him.

Don't know if this would be any use  https://www.facebook.com/WhitbyCottages/

The Whitby Folk Week FB page often has adverts for available rentals.

Have they checked Air BnB? seems there's a lot of places with rooms or whole houses/flats available - didn't check availability for that week on them though:

Well, lucky you! Mary and I are booked, and haven't a clue what we're supposed to be doing when.
(but we have melodeons and concertinas, so paths likely to cross somewhere...)

Not bought tickets, and I'm not stewarding this year, so  I may see peeps and I may not. Won't be at concerts that's for certain. Sessions all week this year.
