Sad news of 911377brian
« on: May 18, 2018, 10:30:19 AM »

Sad to report that Brian passed away at home on the 7th May after a short battle with multiple cancers. He was a fine old gentleman and, although late to the melodeon world, a keen and stylish 1 row player. I for one will miss him greatly.

Brian a couple of years ago in his modelling career

What sad news. I knew he was selling his instruments, but was unaware why he was doing so.
RIP Brian.

Thanks Lester.
I had already wondered, not having read anything from him since March.
Very sad news, he was really a gentleman, full of humour.
RIP Brian.

So sorry to hear of this. I always enjoyed reading his posts and hearing about another one-row player. Thanks for sharing the photo for those of us who never met him. My heartfelt condolences.

He looks like Connor Mcgrggor the Irish MMA fighter !
A safe journey to you Brian to the beyond and I’m sure he’ll be able to play plenty of melodeon out there !!!!

I'm saddened to hear this, I didn't know Brian but I always enjoyed his posts and will miss his good natured humour.

I saw this earlier, but couldn't reply then. Now that I'm home again, I'd like to add my name to those who will miss his contributions. Although we only met virtually (through here) I knew him to be a proper gent, and I'm grateful to have known him, even slightly. God bless 'im and those he's left behind!

Thanks for letting us know Lester, not unexpected but nevertheless sad news.  Brian was a character, a true dapper gent and a gentle soul with a tale or two to tell.

I have two of his boxes...including a 1040 in A which he gave me...I promised I'd keep it until anyone expressed an interest in buying it then I would pass it on...

He said he only wanted that it be played rather than sitting on the shelf.

The measure of the man, I think.

Safe journey Brian.... :|glug

Can somebody post Brian’s videos of him playing?
Not trying to be offesinve or insensitive... just liked to learn one of his tunes to remember him ...

Very sad to hear this - I was just thinking about him the other day.

I had my differences with Brian - which were entirely of my own making and in no way reflected what a true gent he was.

RIP Brian :(
