Just in case someone missed this I thought I'd share. Great photo of Cooley (A4) with his red soprani in the latest edition of The Journal of Music for anyone that might be interested. The article is the second extract from Tony McMahon's memoirs about his own musical influences.

Great to see how music gets covered in Ireland though, I really enjoyed listening to the various views of musicians I have respected over the years and a good insight into the behind the scenes shenanigans!

did you manage to find a stream/podcast of the programme in question, then? I tried those rte links but came to the conclusion it wasn't still available.

did you manage to find a stream/podcast of the programme in question, then? I tried those rte links but came to the conclusion it wasn't still available.

I couldn't find it yesterday .Only the follow-up podcasts.

Sorry to say that Tony M came off very poorly indeed, in contrast to Alec Finn who maintained his dignity admirably.
