Bernard Loffet "le touptit"

(1/5) > >>

Andy Duckering:
Does anyone have any experience of the Bernard Loffet "le touptit" please, and if so how do you rate them? Thank you.

Thrupenny Bit:
I've had a brief squeeze at a festival and thoroughly enjoyed it!
I'm sure there are some owners who can give a longer term view.
Q

Theo:
I have played one a couple of years ago.   I remember it being similar is size to a Castagnari Lilly, but with a warmer, less strident voice.

I was sort of hoping you might say something like that Theo...  :D

Are you aware that, sadly, Bernard Loffet died in March? See here:

So if you were thinking of ordering a Touptit, you will be disappointed, sorry to say.
In any case, he had already discontinued production of the Touptit.

Confusingly, for people who do not know of his passing, Bernard's website is still active; there is no mention or amendment to signify his death.
