Well, what can I say --- I've just had a go at playing 'Wonderwall' on my piano accordion and it's not that easy. Of course, if he'd been playing a melodeon he'd have got a wide repertoire of daft english dance music in a very short space of time! His punishment should have been to play melodeon.

I remember after the Brighton bombing a Morris side (NOT Brighton Men) busking an Irish set as close as they could legally get to the scene. 'Guns of Navarone' anyone? Ref. Ska/melodeon.

That reminds me. There is a very fine CD by Julian Sutton called 'Melodeon Crimes'.

Myself and a friend once went to France and spent a very successful fortnight or so busking over there.
We headed down to Andorra, and very foolishly tried the same thing. After about 10 minutes we were  hauled into a police van and taken down whatever the Andorrans call the nick. After some hours they let us go, provided we left the country (or at least we think that's what they said.) Anyway, that's what we did, and I've not been back since.
If they didn't like the music they could have just said so!
