Sag’né Melodeon
« on: June 06, 2018, 07:10:13 PM »

I just picked up my new custom 10 key Sag’né box, and I need to sing the praises of it’s builder, Marcel Desgagné. He delivered a box beyond my expectations, in terms of looks, feel, responsiveness, tone and volume. He was an absolute pleasure and gentleman to deal with, who kept me updated regularly. I’ve spent time with other maker’s boxes, and had some good and bad experiences, including owning another Sag’né before this one. While the first Sag’né was a great box in its own right, this thing is on another level. I strongly suggest that anyone looking for a 1 row, or even 1.5 row, get in contact with Mr. Desgagné. He does incredible work!

Nice looking machine!

BTW if anybody is wondering why the maker's name, Desgagné (pronounced dayganyay but without the dipthongs), has some letters removed to make deSgAGNÉ = S'agné (sagnay) ... it's a clever reference to Saguenay, which is the name of a northern river and a city and a region (Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean) that are all iconic for inhabitants of Québec, even if relatively few have been there. Well I haven't anyway. I assume Monsieur D lives somewhere around there, or came from there originally.

I believe he lives in Larouche, just outside Saguenay.
