Thanks for the great comments! The glory should go to Roger T of Jolly Roger Accordions and what a great job he did.
Anyway, later in the day I managed to knock two copper pipes off and lost a full head steam easy to put back though and no damage done. The only work I have done to it is add LED lights to the pallets, which really brings it to life when playing.
(Note to self.... stay out of the Red Lion or at least, don’t drink the cider)  :|glug ::)

What does a melodeon and a lawsuit have in common?

Everybody’s happy when the case is closed

Here you go, Jesse.

I’ve heard a few steam calliopes play.  Never heard one in tune.  Most of them make a melodeon in need of some tuning sound like a Well Tempered Clavier.

Elderly amateur musician hoping to stave off dementia by learning to play the melodeon.  Just upgraded to a Tommy, also rather breathless G/C pokerwork and a G/C Benny.  Oh! And single row 2 stop Hohner in need of serious leak proofing.

Yep if I do another one I’d make a better job of fixing the pipes.
By the way, the reeds are Harmonikas' cheapest ones,  though I think they are pretty good to be honest. And they are more reasonably priced than a Hohner set.
Nick...can we see a pic with the lights?
