First World Problems radio drama
« on: June 14, 2018, 09:45:46 AM »

I've been listening to a radio drama this week called First World Problems. (Apologies to non-UK melnetters). The musical breaks in the drama are often melodeon-based. Anyone else listening to this and can recognise who's playing and what they're playing? Just curious!

The earlier one sounds like a PA.
But I'm sure the one at 13:07 has a fiddle and concertina.
Leveret?
Dr Faustus (with Rob Harbron)?

I was going to suggest the Yetis when I saw it was about David and Ruth.

I'll ask Rob when I see him tomorrow.

In 13:07 it is Leveret playing Down to the Beach from the album Inventions

Do you have a Hohner from 1934-1945 with a serial number on?
Send me a private message or comment on the German Accordion Problem spreadsheet to improve the statistics of the project and get an estimate of the production date of the box if it is not known.

I caught a snatch and thought it sounded like Tim Van Eyken's box ... but I didn't hear any more.

Yes, I've been listening to it most days this week and there have been many Leveret musical breaks. They are usually only 5-10 seconds long. I think they are all from the third CD, Inventions, but having heard them all while driving in the car, I just recognised them immediately as Leveret but they ended quickly before I could identify the source track.

What are David and Ruth doing in a Radio Drama? They are real living people.  >:(

My other melodeon's a fiddle, but one of my Hohners has six strings! I also play a very red Hawkins Bazaar in C and a generic Klingenthaler spoon bass in F.!! My other pets (played) are gobirons - Hohner Marine Band in C, Hohner Tremolo in D and a Chinese Thingy Tremolo in G.
