Galotta in Klingenthal (East Germany), which got incorporated into Harmona/Weltmeister, used that badge.

Google has proven less than successful, and there is no identifiable brand on it. I believe it is the same one Weird Al often plays, if that's any help?

It might be worth asking here
https://www.accordionists.co.uk/viewforum.php?f=3

I won't know there either... ;) (Though somebody else might.)

The trouble is there are lots of piano accordions around that look similar to it, that style was very fashionable, but the badge might help. Does it have Made in Italy (or anywhere else) stamped/engraved/scratched on the back of it?

Does it say anything on the gold banner across the shield?

The back says made in Italy 7525. Here are a couple photos. If no one knows, it may just be a lost cause, but thank you all for your help.

Okay, this is probably my last attempt. I came across another of this accordion this one with a name on it, but too blurry to make out.

Not that you'll see Contello accordions on this (European) side of the Atlantic, even if they were made in Italy - there was no "Contello" accordion factory and it seems to have been an American importer's brand. But it's not immediately evident who the importer was, nor who actually made them, though I've seen Guerrini cited as possibly implicated.

Many seem to have been sold by Milton Mann Accordion Studios in Los Angeles - there's even a poem about that!

The Accordion Salesman

A tall thin man in a gray suit comes to my door

with accordion keys for teeth

He smells like a salesman

His lapel pin reads, “Milton Mann Accordion Studios.”

He pulls out a 120 base Contello Accordion

Silver with red keys

Stretching out the bellows

angels fly from between them.

His hair is a raging fire of notes

F sharps twirling up in smoke

“ Here Kid!” He hands me the Contello.

It covers my body like a partial eclipse

I pull out the bellows and squeeze

Notes fly from the reeds like startled birds

“You are a natural kid.”

We sign on the dotted line

He smiles

Shakes my hand

and walks away carefully as not to

trip over his tail.

Not wanting to be seen as a crawler, but it occurs to me that it takes a very dedicated researcher to come up with something like that!

Somewhere on Line I have seen a listing of Accordian manufacturers with some badges illustrated, Unfortunately I cant remember where !!  someone else may be able to locate it,....or you could try Googgling "Accordian badges" or something similar.
