I made the local newspaper
« on: July 11, 2018, 05:27:40 PM »

Local paper sent someone by last week and talked with me for about 2 hrs and did a nice article.
It is well done and avoids the normal "how weird is this guy!" pitfall that I sometimes see.

Nice one, Kimric!  That Swiss box is indeed a thing of beauty.

Cheers,

And in fact, the Bay Area is actually an accordion hot-bed, with the Cotati Accordion Festival north of San Francisco next month. However melodeon players are in short supply -- it's mostly plenty of piano accordions  of various sorts and a few Cajun box players. Just a handful of diatonic boxes, as far as I can discern. Mostly connected with the Bay Area Morris scene.

I think there used to be a larger melodion scene , but I hardly sell any or get them in for service any more.

Hi Kimric, wish your shop was there in the 80's!, i lived in San Francisco for two years between 87 & 89, on 14th street!, i got over to Oakland several times during my stay!, in fact i brought a 120 bass Milanti Piano Accordion back to England when i returned, which i purchased in the city, i used to attend the Irish Session at the Plough & Stars on a sunday evening!, hope your Business continues to grow!, best wishes, Aaron.

Just goes to show you're fixing 'em up right!
