Valves from Germany
« on: August 02, 2018, 06:40:37 PM »

I just bought 1000 punched valves in 10 different sizes from a seller on German EBay, for €20 plus €3.75 postage.
Pretty good value for money methinks

I've used them, good service and good English!

If you bought those from Hohner USA it would have run you well over $1500 USD.
I ordered several dozen (some were the leather/plastic) and I got a bill for about $400 wholesale. The smaller valves were about .50 to $1 each and the bigger ones were about $2.50 each.  I sent them back.

Indeed I'd also noticed how much more expensive the same buttons are off Hohner USA, compared with Hohner Germany... :o

As my stock of valves was running a little low I thought these looked too good to miss, so I ordered some. Arrived today, and they do look decent quality. I guess only time will tell if they measure up in service.  Certainly the seller is a pleasure to deal with.
