Anyone know anything about this brand? This one looks like it has a stradella bass...

NB: I’m not thinking of buying unseen..it could be a box of nightmares.
Kind of an unfortunate name really.

I know I'm slow Wolfgang, but I can't see the connection.

I think I misspelled my search (and got nothing) before I posted. Black eye for me.

Yes - if you look closely at the logo, you can see that it has lost the descender and tail of the 'g', so it now resembles a 'c'.

Though that slanting alignment of the bass buttons would be typical of diatonic basses made for some (especially central- and eastern-European) markets.

Oh I don't know - Gibson have done more than ok with its English counterpart "Mastertone"... ;)

"Meisterklang" was a brand name of accordeons produced by the Ludwig brothers (Gebr. Ludwig) in Zwota (Eastern Germany)
Might be 1950s or 1960s.

Yes, and here is definitive proof that Ludwig used the brand (though it's the k and the l that are damaged on this one's name badge, rather than the g):

And, judging by instruments I've seen, they seem to have started to use the Meisterklang brand as early as the late 1930s.

Not a million miles from Klingenthal ...

Indeed not, in fact (having walked there) I can confidently say it's "just down the road" from the Weltmeister factory...

Zwota is one of the villages that make up the elongated town of Klingenthal.
