Lloyd George’s Beer
Martin P:
I have been asked to play this WW1 tune for a local drama production. I’m struggling to find sheet music for it. Help please.
John MacKenzie (Cugiok):
Coope Boyes and Simpson recorded it I believe. That may a road into finding the info you need.

Martin P:
Various recordings available, including a great version by JK, but no links for sheet music.
Thrupenny Bit:
Blimey, that takes me back a long way!
Can't help with the music, but will certainly chase the links.
Thanks for the memory!

Gena Crisman:
I'm afraid I don't know where to find a score but I did listen based on some of what others have posted.
Here's a link to the John Kirkpatrick version on youtube which appears to be licensed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88MV0klXzIQ&index=5&list=PLGcNwtNCDtW7WQfzgDkA80xujzzNaDETz&t=0s
I believe that it's played here in C, and the 'song' part starts on a G (the fifth) - G F E F G4, then steps up to the C (8th) and follows the same kind of pattern, C B A B C. From there I was able to feel out most of the verse. I think he's using a Bb accidental in his intro, too - if you played on a DG's D row that would be like crossing over for a C natural - how original that is I have no idea.
Hopefully someone will have an idea on sheet music, I hope you're able to get it sorted!
