French music websites
« on: October 08, 2018, 12:30:07 PM »

A few weeks ago, someone posted a couple of links to really good websites of French tunes - but somehow I can't find them now. Can anyone help please ?(Not that I'm short of tunes to learn... ::))

Was it the tablatures and sound clips on (the late) Bernard Loffet's site?

I'm thinking of Maggie's contribution.

There are many, many
I just went through my bookmarks, and alas, my favorites don't seem to be there any more. But here are a few that do still work - can't guarantee quality. I haven't used these much, but tons to explore.

Hi
This link to search for European tunes may of interest
It searches for sheet music and melodeon tablature (generally for melodeons in GC tuning)

Here's a transcript of a great tune book for the 1930s.

Have a look at this website, I recommand it. I don't think I have seen links to it in this topic, so I recommand it  ;)
Marc Lemonnier lives in the Cévennes France, and is a very good musician.
He doesn't like tablatures so you will find only music sheets, often with contrechants or parts written for other instruments.
Hereabove a link to his sheets for melodeon (but there are other ones) :
