I have a Hagstrom in G/C, it's a big lump of a box, and has never even been played in, in spite of it being about 50 years old. Anyway, the point of this post is, the reeds in it are really sweet sounding but they have no identifying marks. So I wonder if anyone knows who made their reeds?

It is mentioned in the link above that Hagström opened a branch in Durham in 1946.  Perhaps looking for info in that area would be good.  Or use the "Contact" info from the linked article.

But take the reeds out of the Hagstrombox and put them in something different and they will quite likely not sound the same.

Hagstrom has been discussed here before.  Their place in Newton Aycliffe eventually became a Hohner depot and repair centre, then became Bell accordions who were Hohner agents, and then was taken over by Geoff Holter who moved the business to Darlington where he continued to trade until he retired in 2010.

If it is a Swedish-made hagstrom it may be a Marita

Hagström was and is a Swedish company. Hagström made 700,000 accordions 
and 125,000 guitars. Some of these accordions were melodeons.

Hagström did maaany  reeds.

Yes it's a Marita, and I bought it from Germany so I assume it's Swedish made, especially because of the Keys it's in.
