A reason to take chromatic lessons!
« on: September 03, 2009, 03:06:34 AM »

Here's the latest classical accordionist to take up residency on the west coast.
http://www.straight.com/article-205347/jelena-milojevic-gives-accordion-respectability

Here's her myspace page http://ca.myspace.com/jelenamilojevic

Is it to late to add her to the accordion hottie thread?

Interesting web sites - both of them. For a 'top accordionist' I have to say I've not seen so few pictures of the mighty instrument, so little in the way of sound clips, or for that matter so much in the way of pictures scrolling down from the beautiful soft hair, that slender neck, the perfect bust.  :P

Do click the one where she wears the (unbuttoned) male waistcoat.  It expands to a concert poster which does actually show her CBA. Albeit mostly obscured by a beautifully deported pair of designer trousers.

I thought I'd had problems with the equally sexy Ann-Lise Foy - but this is a whole quantum beyond that. I have to concur with sCANdanADIAN 's view as to what is on offer!

A follow on point might be that most other accordion sites have the sex appeal of an earth worm in comparison. Major revamps are clearly needed to drag them in to the New Century.

Rees, Theo, others are you tuning in? We need some equally sexy 'porthole' graphics on your sites. Forget the instruments. Powerful shoulders, six packs, pert buttocks. I could go on but the ladies on the group are more qualified to advise. (In the 80's Sunday Times poll 'other' scored as highest determinant of male pulling power. They didn't elaborate, but it wasn't "melodeon").

I see that "Her performances have been acclaimed as 'an explosion of cosmic sensuality' "
Remember this when you are next playing in a session or playing for morris. The bar has been set high, the gauntlet thrown down.

Seriously, her playing is superb.

OK - off to wash my hair now.....

In my case all those parts are in need of overhaul :o  don't think they have pulling power, if they ever had  :(

Your not planning a charity calender (fully clothed) of 'sexy' male melodeon players then? :P

Not true. Give me a brilliant melodeon player, preferably with a beard, any day (especially if he can afford a few Costalottis!). A liking for beer would go down well, too, but ideally with no more than a modest beer belly.

Mind you, I could make good use of the muscle-bound lad in the photo to do a few odd jobs...cut the grass, dig over the vegetable patch, mend the hen house.....

Is this a new technique I haven't heard about?
Or does it just involve spending so long practising that you don't have time to eat? :||: :Ph

When I was young and daft I used a Corona III for Morris and band work and I must have added 6 inches to my chest it was like a 'bullworker' but then I learned to cross the rows a bit and reduce the push/pull pumping.
