Storing valves
« on: November 30, 2018, 06:19:12 PM »

Any suggestions on how to organize and store all the leather and plastic reed valves that we accumulate over time?

Old used ones should be discarded.  New ones small in ziploc plastic bags, or a multi compartment plastic box with a well fitting lid.

Old used valves are not worth keeping.  New ones are not expensive.

I use some of my fishing tackle compartmented boxes, like this Snowbee box http://www.snowbee.co.uk/webshop/sea-fishing/boxes-wallets/14152-lure-plug-box-large/

Thanks Theo. I've accumulated a large quantity of used valves and was never sure if there would ever be any use for them. They will go into the dustbin now!

The used valves maynot be useful as valves, but they may be useful in other contexts such as lining of non-marring plier jaws, or pads under small objects etc.
