Squeaky button
« on: January 27, 2019, 12:00:49 PM »

One button only, squeaks when pressed, and that's with keyboard removed, and occasionally it sticks open. The slightest touch makes it spring back as it should. I have tried a bit of graphite on the pivot rod, and it doesn't help. Even when I waggle the button from side to side it still squeaks. I am lost as to what to do next,
Somebody must have had this happen, and can tell me what to do about it please.

imho you spring is going. depending how much fun pull the rod, and clean  and replace any suspect springs. How far from the end it is, determines  how many buttons will need to be removed

My bet would be something involving WD40 or 3-in-1 oil...
